Northwestern District Attorney's Office, Greenfield, MA

Primary job responsibilities;
Helping victim/witness advocates complete their assignments such as filling out official paperwork, screening police reports to find cases that will benefit from the efforts of the Victim/Witness unit, and organizing files to distribute to the Victim/Witness advocates. I also met with victims when they need to speak with the prosecutors.

I would rate this experience as excellent because the work is truly gratifying. The advocates have a strong passion for their work and their knowledge and guidance was unbelievable. I would recommend this site to future students because your hands on experience leads you to gain knowledge of the legal system and sociological changes.

To future students I would say to definitely dream big! There are so many opportunities out there, just take your time and look for something fitting. The experience should be rewarding, educational and enjoyable! Keep that in mind when looking for a field experience placement.
