May Institute (The); Randolph, MA

Spring 2009

I was to familiarize myself with clients by reading their individual service plans and files. I observed staff work one-on-one with the clients and then would take time to work one-on-one with them.

Over all this was an excellent experience, I would definitely recommend this site to other students.

My advice to students looking to pursue a field placement in the future would be to make sure that you are enthusiastic about your experience and the prospect of learning new things. This works to raise your morale and to demonstrate that you'd be a good candidate for an internship or permanent position with the particular company.
