CFRX, Charlestown MA

Primary job responsibilities;
Running scientific experiments, treating cells, collecting data, writing protocol.

As I gained more experience I was given a lot more responsibility and freedom in the lab. I was eventually running the experiments on my own.

I would rate this experience as excellent as it was great way to use my knowledge that I have learned in my academic curriculum and actually get to use it for scientific research.

I would recommend this site to future students because it was a great way for me to get my foot in the door of the scientific field and gain great experience.

If I was going to change anything about this placement I would have my work here count as class credits. I feel like I have learned more in the lab here this summer than I have in any of my college classes.

To future students I would advise them to make sure you have a solid idea of what you want to do/what type of work you want to pursue in your field. Be sure to stay organized and have a solid resume.
