Summer/Fall 2008
Primary Job Responsibilities:
--Manager at Utilities Department. Responsible for 12 operators and 5 maintenance techs. Trouble-shoots process issues.
Changes in Primary Job Responsibilities:
--Yes, I was given several project assignments to be completed by the end of my co-op.
Overall Rating of the Field Experience Site:
--Very Good!
I would recommend this site because it is relevant to engineering and give a chance to exercise hands on skills.
If you could change any aspect of this placement what would it be?
--Be given more project work in addition to management responsibilities.
What advice would you give to students pursuing a field experience placement in the future?
--Apply early to have everything squared away before the semester finishes. This helps with a smooth transition into our placement, and proves to the employer that you are a dedicated applicant.
Summer/Fall 2008

To trouble shoot various process issues by using trends, reports, and working w/personnel.
To turn in all areas of brewery, even off shifts.
Rating of Internship: Very Good
I would recommend this site to other students, it is a great work atmosphere and you learn a lot. Also for a co-op the company gives you lots of responsibility, so you learn quickly.
If I could change one aspect it would be to incorporate more of my academic work.major.
Advice: Keep an open mind, it can/will be a great experience even if you don't like it, it will help you decide what you want to do. Also its a good way to network and maybe get a job offer.
Other Comments: My position was 80-90% management. U used little engineering related to my academic work.
