Amherst Chamber of Commerce, Amherst MA

Primary responsibilities:
-Office work
-preparing press releases
-setting up on annual holiday events
-holiday committee meetings
-Decorating the town
The main requirements did not change over the course of the placement.
I would rate this field placement as very good and i would recommend it to other students.
this helps to prepare anyone going into the field of communication, marketing, event management or P.R. It teaches the basics needed to start out in any of these fields.
if i could change anything about this placement i would like more control over my projects.
My advice is to research the company find out what they will be expecting of you. Make sure that this is what you want to do before hand is better than finding out your responsibilities and wanting to leave.
