· If you do not see your company in the list; then send an e-mail to fieldexp@acad.umass.edu and we will add your placement location to the blog.

Abbott Laboratories; Chicago, IL

Summer 2009

  1. Supporting plant capital projects via collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of engineers maintenance and operators. Completing paper validation paper work
  2. The internship helped me decide the course of my career from this point on. Ive decided to pursue a PhD in ChE.
  3. I would recommend this field site, I received experience in working in a hardcore traditional manufacturing plant.
  4. My advice to students pursuing a field experience in the future would be : Dont turn down an opportunity even if it isn't exactly what you want. You ll learn a lot about your career and personal goals no matter what.
