3 Rings Films; Northampton, MA

The primary job responsibilities for me were to;
-Digitize tapes
-Log and transcribe footage
-Organize data
-Create assemblies
-Edit sequences
My responsibilities advanced over the course of this internship. Initially transcribing was my main task but over time we were given the chance to edit scenes and more.

This placement was Very good overall and I recommend that other students try it if they are interested. It was a good experience working with a person trying to get funding for his work and producing it for the public. I was able to see a behind the scenes aspect of the networking and all of the hard work involved. If I could change one thing about this internship, I would have liked more attention to work schedules.

My advice for other students looking for a placement is that the experience and skills a student gets out of a Field experience placement is ultimately up to the student. That is so in the sense that the more time and energy they are willing to give coincides with the amount that you will learn.
