UMASS Sustainability, Amherst, MA

My job responsibilities were to conduct research and cost analyses on different energy saving techniques for the UMASS campus and to facilitate meetings throughout the semester with members of the EPAC Energy Subcommittee.
In the middle of the semester I also took on the role of conducting an energy solving program in Holdsworth Hall in which I monitored the building's energy use while occupants engaged in energy saving behavioral change.

I would rate my internship as very good.

My advice to students pursuing an internship would be to engage yourself as much as possible; there is a lot to learn in a field experience placement that can develop desirable skills for the job force. Manage your time wisely and do not fall behind in your work.
