Western Mass Correctional Alcohol Center, Springfield, MA

Responsibilities;
-Helping the women with placement/ aftercare when released
-filing, helping women make phone calls
-group therapies and one on one counseling
-helping with anything around the unit
- help keep notes on the women
as time progressed I did more of everything.

This was an excellent placement overall and i strongly recommend it to other students. I think someone who is looking to work with people suffering from substance abuse would benefit the most from this placement. If you don't have a passion for this, then i recommend something else.

My advice for other students is to take it seriously because you will learn as much, if not more, than you will in class.
