Springfield Armor; Springfield, MA

Job Duties
  • Planning and organizing various sales and marketing initiatives
  • Placed calls and crafted pamphlets to promote upcoming events and ticket packages
  • Answered calls, gained ability to up-sell callers into packages and groups
  • Represented the company at in-house events and off-site community events
  • Maintained record of ticket customers and prospects
  • Assisted in the customer service effort
As time went by, I was placed in the position of primary editor and writer on all written projects. I had a very good experience during my placement and I would advise other students to take a placement here as well because of the different event settings I had the opportunity to work in and being able to take on lots of projects.
I would have like to have gotten more developmental instruction from my superiors but other than that I would have not changed a thing. And for those entering an internship placement, I would say to make sure you are entering a field you are interested in because there will be a lot of work asked of you, regardless of the field type.
