Amherst Media; Amherst, MA

Job Responsibilities:

  • Update Facebook and Twitter statuses

  • Integrate newer social media platforms (Foursquare, Google+, Tumblr)

  • Attempt to gain interactions in social media accounts

  • Cover events, such as important team meetings, using social media

  • Help with promotions

There were minor changes to my responsibilities during my placement but it was pretty flexible and mostly stayed in the range of social media.

Overall, I would rate this company as very good.

I would recommend this site to other students because they are friendly people and they allow you to be flexible.

If I could change anything about this placement it would be to have more "push" from my supervisors.

Advice I would give students is having friendly bosses makes a gigantic difference in how good or bad the experience is.
