New England Cable News (NECN)

If you are looking for a hands on television broadcasting internship NECN is the place to go. While I was at NECN I was able to write news stories for the morning shows, assist the assignment editor with assigning reporters to news stories, and finally the best part ... I was able to go out in the field with reporters and not only help them gather information for a story but the reporters helped me create and perfect my resume tape. While at NECN I learned the proper way to write a news story, i was taught the bases of editing, and finally I was able to witness how everyone who is involved in a major market news room works together to serve it's viewers.

--After I graduated I started working at NECN on the assignment desk and am still at that station as a freelance assignment desk assistant while I search for a job as a reporter--
